Hi! I’m Mariya, originally from Kazakhstan and now living in Vienna, where I’m also learning German, so I understand what it feels like to learn a new language and try to speak with confidence.
Russian is my native language, and I also speak English. I have friends from different countries, and I know how important it is not just to understand a language, but to actually use it in real life.
I studied Documentation Management, which helped me develop a deeper understanding of the Russian language, its structure, style, and how people communicate in different situations.
I enjoy traveling, movies, and culture, and I like bringing these topics into lessons to make them natural
For me, the most important part of learning a language is speaking - just talking, making mistakes, but confidently.
Many students understand Russian, but feel nervous when they need to speak. My goal is to change that. From the first lesson, you will start speaking, making mistakes, and improving naturally.
I also prepare personalized materials for my students — presentations, vocabulary lists, and useful phrases — so you always leave the lesson with something practical you can use in real life.
I’m patient, friendly, and attentive to your goals. Every lesson is adapted to you.
My lessons are focused on real communication and structured progress.
We don’t just talk – we build your ability to express thoughts clearly and naturally in Russian.
In our lessons, you will:
- practice real-life conversa...
Great lesson with Maria! We started with small talk about shopping for groceries and for Christmas gifts. Maria had a presentation ready all about food. We talked about eating habits and about the food we like/don't like. I learned a lot of new vocabulary. Maria does a really nice job updating our shared document with new and useful vocabulary and sentences. She always helps me out when I don't know a word and is easygoing when I make a mistake!

Great lesson with Maria! We started with small talk about family gatherings and personalities. After that, I described the "new Prostokvashno" cartoon that I continued to watch. It was not easy to do, but Maria helped me with grammar and vocabulary. Maria is doing great at helping me practice speaking and becoming more comfortable/natural!

Super lesson with Maria! We started with me telling Maria about several episodes of "Новое Простоквашино" that I watched. Maria asks different questions about the episodes and helps me to explain when I get stuck. Maria also prepared a presentation on "transport" that we started going through. Maria is doing an excellent job helping me to speak and understand..I really enjoy learning with her!

Super lesson with Maria! I talked more about the cartoon "Новое Простоквашино" that I watched. Maria helped me when I got stuck on vocabulary or made grammar mistakes. After that, Maria continued her presentation on "houses". Maria does an excellent job of asking questions and I always really enjoy my lessons with her!

Great lesson with Maria! We started with small talk, and I talked about my neighbor. Maria asked me if I watched any of the cartoons that she sent me, and we talked about the "new Prostakvashna" that had I started watching. After that, we continued going through the presentation that Maria created about "house/home". Maria was very patient and helpful while I was talking and helping me with the correct word (or giving hints) when I needed it!
