I grew up in NYC & Colombia. I developed a long career teaching business executives, training instructors and managing multiple language schools. But my heart is in teaching. After 20 years living in the US, I relocated to the south of Spain and I am loving it. I am quite easy going, funny and easily make friends. I enjoy traveling and exploring. Crecí en Nueva York y en Colombia. Desarrollé una carrera en Berlitz, enseñando a ejecutivos , capacitando instructores y dirigiendo múltiples escuelas de idiomas. Pero mi corazón está en la enseñanza. Despues de 20 anos en USA, me trasladé al sur de España y me encanta. Soy bastante relajada, divertida y hago amigos fácilmente.

As a teacher I am very patient and caring. My significant experience at Berlitz has given me the ability to quickly assess the student's level and learning style so classes can be adapted to his/her/their needs. I have honed-in on specific techniques to introduce various type of material. I am also quite creative and I have the skill set to improvise on new material. Como profesor, soy muy paciente y atenta. Mi amplia experiencia en Berlitz me ha dado la capacidad de evaluar rápidamente el nivel del estudiante y su estilo de aprendizaje para adaptar las clases a sus necesidades. He perfeccionado técnicas específicas para introducir diversos tipos de material.

Meine Stunden und mein Unterrichtsstil

I truly believe that learning a language has to be primarily through conversation, regardless of the level. I have witnessed the impact of this technique through my many years teaching at Berlitz. Hence, meaningful and purposeful conversations are my goals. I "drill" grammatical structures through a question and answer format. We will do a lot of role-plays. I pay close attention in subtly correcting and emphasizing on pronunciation. Son fiel creyente que un idioma se aprende a traves de conversacion. Por tanto tendremos muchas conversaciones y " Role Plays" (dramatizaciones ). Siempre he puesto especial atencion a corregir, bien sea estructuras gramaticales como pronunciacion.

Honestly, I hesitated to write this review because I’m afraid she might get even busier. It’s already hard to book her classes, but once you take her lessons, you’ll understand why. She has an amazing ability to guide the conversation while gently correcting my mistakes and helping me improve my English. She also tries different approaches so the lessons never feel boring or tiring.
