Build confidence and speak more naturally in Spanish or Catalan ¡Hola! My name is Carol, and I live in Begur, a beautiful coastal town in Catalonia, Spain. I’m a native Spanish and Catalan speaker. I live near the sea with my dog Rita and seven cats… so yes, I fully embrace my cat lady era 😊 I love animals and try to help those in need. All my cats were in danger when I found them, so of course I kept them — as we say in Spain, “where one eats, seven can eat”. I’ve been working as an online Spanish and Catalan tutor for several years, and I’ve taught over 4,600 lessons on italki, helping students improve their fluency and confidence. While I was at university, I volunteered with NGOs teaching Spanish and Catalan to people who had recently arrived in Spain and helping them understand the local culture and way of life. That’s when I realised teaching is something I truly enjoy. In my lessons, I keep things natural, practical, and adapted to you. We can focus on conversation, grammar, or real-life situations depending on your goals. I like students who are willing to speak, try, and get involved — that’s how real progress happens. I’ll help you feel comfortable speaking from the beginning, and I adapt to your pace and learning style so you can progress in a way that feels natural. My lessons are best suited for students who already have a solid base and want to take their fluency and confidence to the next level.
