Hi, my name is Elaina! When I am not teaching, I enjoy being outside with my dog as much as possible. We go on hikes, bike rides, and play on the beach. I also enjoy reading outside, finding new recipes, and exploring new restaurants. In addition to being an English teacher, I am also a Freelance Spanish/English translator and Subtitler.

I am a former elementary school teacher from the US, and have been living in Mexico and teaching English for the last 3 years. For the past 6 years, I have been learning and practicing Spanish, so I completely understand your struggles of learning a second language! Learning Spanish has helped me understand English in a new way and has helped me become a better English teacher. I can help you tackle the toughest grammar tricks of English, and also explain it in Spanish (if you are a Spanish speaker). I loved learning Spanish, so I hope I can help you love learning English as well!

Meine Stunden und mein Unterrichtsstil

My lessons will be created to individually fit your needs. The lessons will be fun and engaging, about things you want to learn and on a pace for your learning goals. We will use a variety of materials so you will get different experiences with English. These materials will range from writing practice and worksheets, vocabulary practice, articles or stories for reading comprehension, conversation practice, grammar practice and more - all on your level! In our first class, we will get to know each other, talk about your learning goals, and also check your level of English. My goal is to help you achieve both accuracy and fluency, while having fun doing it!

Elaina is such a nice person to talk to. She listens to your needs and tailors the lesson accordingly. She also has a lot of materials to offer and explains things in a clear, knowledgeable way. The atmosphere is really nice and comfortable. Sometimes we have a friendly conversation, sometimes we’re practicing for the TOEFL exam. I love how she can be both chill and professional at the same time.
