I have taken over twenty lessons with Haruna, and I must say that she is a professional, knowledgeable, diligent, and capable teacher. I truly appreciate her careful and patient correction of my grammatical errors and pronunciation mistakes. Haruna has helped me to make significant progress in my study of the Japanese language, and although I am still a beginner, I am confident that with her help I will eventually reach proficiency. If you are a serious learner, I highly recommend Haruna’s classes.

Haruna sensei does an amazing job of teaching without having to revert to English for me, though she can speak and understand it well. Though it was difficult to express myself at times, she listened patiently and asked clarifying questions to make sure she understood me. We spent a lot of time talking day. I've been reading more lately and watching anime. It's been fun being able to read and watch for longer periods of time without having to look up words constantly. It's crazy how much I have improved in just the last year. I really thought I was just not cut out to learn after being here for so long and not improving, but Haruna sensei's structure is clear and helps motivate me to study more.
