My name is Rocksaina Sintjacoba. I was born on the island of Curacao but now I live in the Netherlands. In my free time I enjoy spending time in nature, listening to music, making music (I play drums), visiting museums, doing arts and crafts and spending time with the people that are important to me.

I am a patient teacher that has the ability to explain complex subjects in a simple and accessible way. At first I like to get to know my students. This makes it easier for me to put together a custom curriculum to fit your personal needs.

I like to focus on the basic level of my students and start from there. I use organic ways to be immersed in the language we are trying to learn. This makes it easier to start recognizing patterns that you wouldn't otherwise be able to detect. Of course I do have materials that support this way of teaching.
Me gusta centrarme en el nivel básico de mis alumnos y empezar desde ahí. Uso formas orgánicas de estar inmerso en el idioma que estamos tratando de aprender. Rocksaina immediately understood my learning style and adapted to it. She made the lesson very productive and engaging, utilizing my strengths to help me improve where I was weaker. She also did a great job of pushing me to speak as much Dutch as possible from the first lesson! I love learning languages and was really impressed by her more modern (and highly effective) linguistic pedagogy.
