Hi! I'm Anna, I come from Stockholm, Sweden, but live in Berlin, Germany, since over 10 years. I was previously a Swedish community tutor at iTalki for several years, and I have now decided to take up teaching again since I enjoyed it very much. I normally work as a copywriter, translator, and proofreader, but I have extensive experience as a community tutor. I would love to help you learn Swedish and succeed with your goals!

Ich als Lehrkraft

As a teacher, I like to establish a good vibe where you as a student feel comfortable speaking and learning in whatever way works best for you. I adapt to your level of knowledge and take it as slow or fast as you would like. I am currently learning several languages myself (German, Spanish, a little Japanese), so I know the challenges and in what way I prefer to learn languages and can apply this to my teaching. I will do my very best to help you succeed in speaking Swedish in no time!

Meine Stunden und mein Unterrichtsstil

I will naturally adapt my lessons according to your needs, so whether you want to focus on improving your speaking and listening skills, or if you would like to have structured lessons with a textbook, I got you covered! I have several different text books to choose from that we can use in our lessons, such as "Rivstart", "Nya mål", and "Mål", and I also use different teaching aids such as images, videos, work sheets, old language tests, and more. But I will of course adapt the lesson to you, and what you want to learn.

First session with Anna went great. I came already knowing a very basic knowledge of the language but Anna helped me to learn new vocabulary, grammatical structure, and work on my pronunciation. We mainly stuck with the chapters of the book (which I found very helpful), and Anna was very patient and helpful regarding all my questions. I'm excited to continue on to our next session! Tack så mycket Anna, vi ses snart! :)

Excellent lesson, as always with Anna. Seeing that this is probably my last lesson for some time to come, I can warmly recommend her to everyone. I had approx. 50 lessons with her, and went from zero to B1 level. She may be giving "informal" lessons, but the quality of lessons and the preparation and effort she puts in each lesson is truly at the professional level. Tack så mycket Anna! Vi ses när vi ses :)
