Hi, my name is Gwen, I'm 31 years old and I'm here to talk Dutch with you! I am an artist/painter and I'm very interested in languages. I have been living in France for almost three years. I work with my parents in our monastery turned guesthouse. I'm interested in a lot of different things, a few of them are art, books, nature, cooking, cultures, psychology, philosophical questions, baking bread & drinking tea. Nice to meet you!

Ich als Lehrkraft

My main focus as a teacher is to help you to be able to have real, a bit more deep conversations in Dutch, in order to be able to really connect with other Dutch speakers. I want you to feel comfortable, not afraid to make mistakes and I just would like us to have a nice time! I'm very adaptable and relaxed and I'm open to make whatever accomodations you need, just let me know!

Meine Stunden und mein Unterrichtsstil

If you have a lesson with me there are a few options; conversation flow, where the goal is that we have a conversation where you feel comfortable and we understand each other. Another option is a conversation where I correct your grammar and pronunciation as we're speaking. The subjects are up to you, but I will prepare some questions for us to discuss. The other option is a reading class, where we will read an article together and I will help you with understanding and pronunciation. This is helpful if you feel a little scared about just talking out of nowhere. I'm also open to answer questions about Dutch culture or anything else that you need help with.
