I'm Alexia Rossides, I'm 39 years old and I'm an Italian native speaker. I have also acquired an excellent knowledge of English language thanks to my mother who is a British citizen and a business proficiency knowledge of Spanish language as I lived In Spain for a while. I love travelling and getting to know new cultures. I lived in England for seven years and I'm currently living in Hungary. I'm currently refreshing my French language knowledge privately and I'm learning Hungarian language since a while. In my free time I also like doing trekking, collecting old postcards, coins and stamps. I consider myself a friendly, patient, precise, dynamic, professional and well organized person.
Ich als Lehrkraft
I gained a post-diploma in Hospitality and Tourism Management (which included linguistic and cultural studies of Italian, English, French and Spanish languages) at the U.E.T (European University of Tourism) in Rome. I'm a TEFL qualified English teacher since 2012. I have been giving one to one lessons in Italian and English languages for over ten years to people and corporate students from all over the world.
Meine Stunden und mein Unterrichtsstil
In my opinion the best way to approach with the students is using the "Functional Teaching Method" discussing any topic they are interested in (music, news, cinema, hobbies, everyday life etc...) using videos, articles and podcasts too. I normally teach working on the preferences and priorities of the student so to create a positive, pleasant and comfortable atmosphere for my students, trying to put myself in their shoes. My language teaching lessons include also grammar activities based on the student's level and "needs driven" activities that are centred around a document, situation or project my student needs to focus on.
