I’m a native Sinhala speaker with over 10 years of teaching experience and a BA (Special) from the University of Peradeniya. I’ve had the pleasure of teaching students from the UK, USA, Switzerland, the Netherlands, and more.
I offer two types of Sinhala classes:

I offer two main types of lessons:
🗣️ Speaking Lessons – Focused on building your confidence, pronunciation, and everyday conversation skills.
✍️ Writing Lessons – Step-by-step guidance on Sinhala letters, sentence structure, and grammar, including reading practice.
I always start with English to help you feel comfortable, then slowly move into Sinhala as you gain confidence. My lessons are interactive and personalized to suit your age, language level, and interests. I use real-life examples, visuals, and simple explanations to make learning Sinhala easy and enjoyable.

I have had weekly Sinhala classes with Pujathri for two months now and am pleased with how much I am learning. Pujathri is very kind and patient, which keeps the lessons fun. The materials she uses helps to make learning vocabulary easy. My husband, who is a native Sinhala speaker, is always impressed after each class at how many new words Pujathri has taught me. I look forward to continuing to work with her!
