Mwalimu Grace is always punctual and so well prepared. We finished reading a story from last time, went over some reading comprehension questions, then moved on to watching a video about the Congo forest. It was very interesting.

Great lesson with Grace! We continued learning about how the m/wa noun class affects the sentence - including the verb, adjectives, numbers and possessive pronouns. Grace used numerous examples to illustrate the concept, and I was able to understand and make sentences. Grace has a very pleasant manner and her lesson is really effective!

Super lesson with Grace! We revisited the noun classes and did a deeper dive to better understand how the noun influences the other parts of the sentence. It is very important because the noun (and noun class) impacts the verb, numbers, possessive words, adjectives, etc. Grace did a great job of explaining these impacts in simple terms with various examples!

We had a great lesson today. Started off with some cultural discussions then did some reading of a short story. As usual, Mwalimu Grace came up with some excellent explanations for words and phrases I was unfamiliar with. I always finish a lesson with her feeling like I made good progress.

We started reading a new story from a 6th grade book. It had quite a few new words for me. Mwalimu Grace's English is so good that she often comes up with better translations than me and is able to provide that extra nuance that deepens the understanding. She's great!

We had a great lesson today picking up where we left off reading a report about positive parent-child relationships and conversations. Mwalimu Grace was able to clearly explain the words I didn't know and provide great examples to clarify their usage. She is also very resourceful and quickly put together a shared Google Doc for notes when we were having trouble with italki classroom. Looking forward to learning more with her next week!
