Hello, I am Motoe, originally from Osaka, Japan, and currently residing in Türkiye. With a diverse international background, I have lived in the UK, Botswana, Tokyo, and Osaka, gaining extensive multicultural experience. Also traveld to 18 countries. Professionally, I work as a freelance web graphic designer. My personal interests include handcrafting, particularly crochet, and art. I am an avid enthusiast of Japanese subculture, engaging with manga on a daily basis. I look forward to facilitating engaging Japanese language conversations centered around these shared interests.

I have been working as a Japanese teacher on italki for over one year and have conducted more than 1,600 lessons. I offer conversation-focused courses as well as structured beginner courses using textbooks. I had a really positive lesson. Motoe was patient, clear, and very encouraging, which helped me feel comfortable speaking even when I wasn’t confident. The lesson was well structured and matched my level perfectly, with clear explanations and useful examples. I especially appreciated how mistakes were corrected gently and clearly, and how the tutor checked my understanding throughout. I left the lesson feeling motivated and more confident, and I’m looking forward to continuing lessons.

Motoe has been awesome. Even after almost 3 months of not having a lesson with her, the 雰囲気 didn't change, if anything it got better! We caught up and had a really interactive time learning together. I even help her a bit with her 英語の発音 which I find so wholesome.
