Genie

I’ve been studying with Genie for the past 6 months now. I’m learning so much and already feel so much more confident in Korean than I did prior. I’ve been getting comments from friends and family on how much I’ve been improving as well! Genie plans out each lessons for me to cover grammar, vocabulary, and also just day to day speaking / writing practice. I’ve really appreciated how she tailors each lesson to me based on my interests and areas that I struggle in. Genie comes into each lesson with energy, patience, and empathy. She has been such a great tutor for me. I’ve loved learning with her so far and am so excited to continue lessons with her.

I have had a wonderful experience learning Korean with Genie. She is very patient and kind and her lessons are always enjoyable and a relaxing environment for conversations. Looking forward to next lesson :)

I’ve really been enjoying the reading practice Genie gives me. It helped me pick up a lot of new vocabulary and feel more confident reading out loud. Her guidance makes it easier to push myself and improve each time.

Genie is a wonderful tutor! I have been learning Korean for about a year and this is the first time I have receive one-on-one feedback on how to improve my pronunciation. She goes beyond “good enough” and explains how to pronounce certain words to sound more like a native speaker. Not only that but this has widen my listening understanding skills as well. I wish I would have found her sooner!

Genie has been absolutely wonderful, going at my pace and making sure I completely understand the topic before moving on. The homework has also been extremely helpful to keep up with learning between classes. I feel so much more confident than I did just a few months ago.

One of my favorite recent assignments Genie has given me is reading and summarizing Korean recipes! it’s helped me learn so many useful words that you don’t usually see in textbooks. Genie creates such a comfortable space where I never feel embarrassed about my pronunciation and can ask questions freely.
