Bonjour, je m’appelle Jean-Baptiste! I’m a French teacher from Nice, on the sunny Riviera, also exploring the world through my filmmaker and photographer hats. To me, learning a language is the most exciting way to open your world.
After studying History and Geography in Lyon, I focused on storytelling and traveled to 30 countries, from Greece’s turquoise shores to India’s vibrant streets. Along the way, I discovered the joy of helping curious minds unlock the beauty of French through culture, conversation, and authentic connection.
My background in screenwriting helps me design lessons that are both structured and lively. I prioritize simple explanations, regular reviews, and steady progress, while maintaining a warm atmosphere where you can speak freely and build confidence. It is always a pleasure to take lessons with Jean-Baptiste! My improvement from my perspective has been nothing short of incredible. Only a month ago I could barely introduce myself. Now, lessons have become a place for me to express much more complex ideas and involve significantly higher level exchanges with Jean. J’ai eu une excellente conversation avec Jean-Baptiste. Il savait très bien s’adapter à mon niveau de français. L’échange était très agréable : il a réussi à maintenir la conversation tout en corrigeant mes erreurs de manière efficace. I highly recommend Jean-Baptiste as a French teacher. He is always punctual, responds quickly to messages, and is incredibly supportive and accommodating. It’s clear that he genuinely cares about his students’ progress.
His mastery of French is exceptional, and his accent is clear and neutral, making him very easy to understand. What truly sets him apart is his creativity—he goes beyond the standard textbook approach and brings engaging topics and fresh ideas to every lesson. He is also open to suggestions and adapts each class to my goals and interests.
Our lessons truly fly by. There is always something interesting to discuss, and I learn so much in every session without feeling overwhelmed. I’ve made real progress in both confidence and fluency since starting lessons with him. I finish each class feeling motivated and excited for the next one.
Jean-Baptiste is kind, patient, flexible, and highly knowledgeable. I recommend him to anyone seeking effective and engaging French lessons!

C'était un très grand plaisir de parler avec Jean-Baptiste encore. Il me pose des questions qui m'intéresse beaucoup. Si tu as un niveau intermédiaire (comme moi), je recommanderais Jean-Baptiste sans hésitation. Son style d'enseigner est engageant. Je trouve que d'avoir des conversations en français qui te plais, et sont juste à frontière de ton niveau, c'est la clé pour progresser dans une langue étrangère. Merci Jean-Baptiste.
