Ferenc (Frank) Szabo

Frank is an outstanding Hungarian teacher, and I can wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone serious about improving their Hungarian language skills—I’ve definitely noticed progress since I started studying with him. He speaks clearly and at a pace that’s easy to follow, and he always comes to lessons well-prepared with engaging articles or videos to spark conversation. Just as important, our lessons are relaxed, friendly, and encouraging. There’s a good balance between Frank guiding the discussion—asking thoughtful questions and sharing insights about the topic—and me doing my best to respond and express myself in Hungarian. It’s a real dialogue, not a monologue, where I accept that I’m going to make mistakes–but also learn from them–and not feel intimidated. In short, it’s been a very positive language learning experience and I look forward to continuing my lessons with Frank over the weeks and months ahead.
