Great lesson with Maggie! We started with small talk and then watched a video about 荆轲, which was entertaining. After that, I mentioned that the story reminds me of the movie "Hero"..which turned into a long discussion that touched on a variety of topics. It was fun being able to talk about so many things, and Maggie understood what I was talking about..it was a real confidence-booster!

Maggie is the best teacher you can ask for! I look forward to every lesson. She truly cares about her students.

Great lesson with Maggie! We started with small talk about birthdays in the US and China. Maggie explained some of the history of the Qin dynasty, and we watched a video about it. After the video, we talked about politics including several US presidents. It was an interesting lesson and Maggie presented a lot of information!

Great lesson with Maggie! We caught each other up on recent events, since we didn't meet last week. Maggie explained what a 虎符 is, and showed me a picture. We also watched a video where that was an important part of the story. It was interesting to learn about. We also talked about the "4 classics of Chinese literature". It is fun to learn about history and culture like that with Maggie!
