I am a licensed nurse with several years of experience in Healthcare where I developed strong communication skills,empathy, patience and good organizational skills , qualities that are a very essential in a classroom. Alongside my nursing career I have always had a deep passion for languages . I am fluent in kiswahili, luo and English and currently learning French. I have tutored students informally and volunteered in community language programs not forgetting the language contests that I have attended. I am transitioning into education because I want to help others communicate across culture and make a meaningful impact in a new way aside from nursing. #UNITING CULTURES THROUGH LANGUAGE.

I expect to share my passion in languages and help students grow in their communication -building their confidence and fluency. I am looking forward to a collaborative approach to help create a student centered learning by making it engaging and effective through consistent feedback, inclusive classroom environment and communicative competence. I also hope to grow by learning from experienced colleagues, receiving feedback and taking part in training programs that support my transition into teaching.

Expect my lessons to be more about fun , relaxed , free interactions, inclusive and conducted with a lot of patience .
At the end of every lesson expect to know at least one slang that is trending in Kenya. My teaching styles are both teachers-centered and student-centered.(lectures, demonstration, activities and group styles)
