Hi! I'm a Norwegian speaker who knows what it's like to live in a new country and feel unsure about using a new language. I’ve been in that place myself — where you want to speak but don’t quite feel ready. That’s why I’m here: to help you feel more confident, step by step.
I'm not a professional teacher, but I love conversations and making people feel comfortable while learning.
I can also consult you about Norway in general - explain such systems as UDI and NAV,
and navigate you about specifics of Norwegian culture.

I know from experience how intimidating it can be to speak a new language, so I create a safe space where you can just try, improve, and enjoy the process. We’ll go at your pace. If you're shy or just starting out, that’s totally okay — I’ve been there too. I’m here to support you in feeling more comfortable and confident, one step at a time.
No textbooks, no stress — just friendly conversations and useful expressions to help you use Norwegian in real life.

I can honestly say that after 2 months without speaking Norwegian that I really am appreciative to Katja for her patience and support in helping me to pretty much the whole lesson let me babble on in Norwegian and helping me to remember my vocabulary and also learn a lot of new words ect It would of been much easier to just say What are you trying to say in English So I’m sure it wasn’t easy for her But like she always says “ That’s my job” and she is very good at it So Thank you very much Katja and I’m looking forward to our next class

She is an amaaaaazinnngggg teacher. I loved the way she teaches. She is friendly and also provides tons of examples from the Norwegian culture (which I like a lot). If you are hesitant to book a lesson, don't be!! >3
