•Linguistic background: My major was English literature and linguistics. So I know what methods are effective for learning. I will share tips that helped in my studies.
•Linguistic empathy : With a background in linguistics and experience studying English, Spanish, French, and Korean, I have a deep understanding of how different languages work. While I mainly teach in Japanese and English, my knowledge of these languages helps me understand the specific challenges you face based on your native grammar!

I had a great time discussing my Disney World trip with Kana-sensei! I showed her some of the souvenirs I bought and we talked about some Disney movie titles in Japanese. We then compared the size of Disney World in different countries and discussed different units of measurement. It was fun!
