Hi! My name is Natalija. I’m a native Slovenian speaker with a Master’s degree in English Language and Literature. I’ve been teaching English in Slovenian schools for several years, working with students of all ages—from young children to adults. I speak several languages myself, so I understand the ups and downs of learning one. In my free time, I love reading, music, being in nature, and of course—teaching languages!Ich als Lehrkraft

I focus on practical, real-life communication. That means we’ll speak a lot—but always in a relaxed and supportive way. I adjust my lessons to your level, goals, and preferred learning style. If needed, I use a Wacom tablet and pen to share notes, mark texts, or highlight grammar points in real time—so you can visually follow along and keep the materials. We can also use English as a base language if you're learning Slovenian, which helps with clear explanations. Natalija is a great teacher - she gently corrects my pronunciation, give useful, every-day conversational examples, makes great use of the italki chat, all while being a friendly and professional individual. I would definitely recommend her as a tutor to anyone starting out in their slovene language-learning journey :)

Not only do we brush up grammar, but some things have found their right place in the system in my head today. After some grammar practice we had enough time for speaking as well. After 3 lessons I feel more comfortable when I have to speak Slovene and I am less afraid of living communication. Hvala, Natalija!

A lesson where you can practice speaking. 60 minutes training and concentration but is is worth. Natalija patiently helps to improve pronounciation and find the right Slovene expressions.

Natalija made me feel really comfortable in our initial trial lesson - she asked me why I wanted to learn Slovene, how long I have been learning Slovene, and my specific interests that we could discuss in future conversations. She also outlined a plan for our future lessons, and described how they would go. Would definitely recommend for any potential slovene learners! :)
