Hi, I’m Chihiro—a native Japanese speaker from Nagasaki, now living in Australia since 2016.
I used to work as a nurse because I’ve always loved helping people. Now, I live with my husband and our furry babies, enjoying a peaceful life surrounded by nature.
I love animals, walking in the outdoors, and trying new things. In fact, I’m currently learning Mandarin just for fun and to better understand Chinese culture. I’d love to explore even more languages in the future!
My favorite phrase is “Practice makes perfect”—because it’s true!

Each lesson is designed to be relaxed, supportive, and effective. You’ll receive all materials in advance (vocab sheets, worksheets, etc.), and we’ll begin by reviewing what you learned last time. Then we’ll check new vocabulary, explore grammar with visual slides, and practice speaking in realistic, everyday situations. Lessons can be explained in English if needed, and kanji, listening, and reading support is available—especially helpful for JLPT prep!

Chihiro came prepared with learning material, which consisted of slides with pictures, hiragana/katakana, and romanji, so it was easy to quickly learn and absorb. Her lessons are not rigid, though, and she tailors the lesson based on your level and prior knowledge. Chihiro is very friendly and it was fun learning with her.
