Hej! I’m Mika, a native Danish speaker with a lifelong love for languages. Born and raised in Denmark, I’ve helped learners from absolute beginners to advanced speakers—especially Persian-speaking newcomers through volunteer tutoring. My own journey learning English and Farsi taught me the joys *and* challenges of language acquisition. When I’m not teaching, you’ll find me exploring new cultures (I live in Turkey!) or discussing movies and history. Let’s turn your Danish goals into reality—book a trial lesson today!
سلام! من میکا هستم. زبان مادریام دانمارکی است و عاشق یادگیری و آموزش زبانها هستم. به فارسیزبانها کمک میکنم دانمارکی را ساده و راحت یاد بگیرند
Ich als Lehrkraft
- I speak Danish and English fluently, and Farsi on a conversational level
- Learning is a process, and I have been participating in several language-courses myself, during the last couple of years
- As a part of my Upper Secondary Education, EUX (Graduated 2019) I've had Danish Literature and English Studies on a higher level for 4 years
- I have also tutored several Persian speaking newcomers in Danish as a volunteer
Meine Stunden und mein Unterrichtsstil
Each individual student to their own, so i like to focus on topics they can personally relate to.
- For new learners:
I have some interesting writing / reading exercises for novices, with lots of pictures and soundbites, to keep the students engaged, while we dicuss the material together.
- For the intermediate students / more experienced ones:
These lessons will usually be based on relevant topics, like news articles and/or podcasts that are popular at the moment. The students will be urged to answer through conversation in a playful yet productive manner.
After each lesson I will send my students a spreadsheet with new words / setences they have learned.
Mika’s classes continue to be fun and interesting. We dealt with two current events and in the process of becoming more aware of international news, I learned / reviewed more than 15 verbs in present and past tense in context, which will certainly make them easier to apply and use when speaking. Mika is very good about getting me to use new words and structures immediately and I appreciate his clear and helpful explanations.

Today’s lesson was really fun in addition to being informative as Mika’s plan of reading/discussing an article serendipitously coincided with my watching of the long-running Danish series “Borgen”. I learned quite a few structures and Mika gave me several tools for using phrases and sentences that we learned in other contexts.

Great intro with Mika. He did an excellent job of dealing with the fact that even though I’m a beginner I have an interest in learning via articles. He was very friendly, supportive, and gave great tips on some key differences in how words are written vs. how they are pronounced by native speakers, which I really appreciated.

Mika always comes up with really interesting content and for me this is a really helpful way to learn the language. He provides a great mix of practical vocabulary, everyday language, and important structural details which is rapidly increasing the range of things that I can say.

I really enjoy the classes with Mika, where we read an article and talk about the subject related to the text. Mika encourages to talk and gives many examples how you can express yourself in Danish, which boosts your language skills
