EHWA (이화)

Had my 3rd with 이화 선생님 today and I truly enjoyed her lesson plan. I like that her lessons are tailored to my strengths and weaknesses which helps me to grasp and understand the language better. I really can’t wait for more classes with her:)

I'm always a bit nervous during the first lesson but 이화쌤 provided a very welcoming and fun environment today. 이화 made introductory slides, which we went through, and asked thoughtful questions about the class format and expectations (e.g., how much 숙제 am I comfortable with, when should feedback/corrections be offered) to ensure learning under her guidance would fit my needs. We then went over today's vocabulary and phrases before watching short clips from YouTube to practice my listening and comprehension skills, and see today's vocabulary and phrases used in real life. 이화 was great at noticing when I was struggling with certain parts of the content and supported me when necessary to make sure I understood the content. The class content is truly personalized--toward the end of our lesson, we discussed what future topics we could cover and she remembered my hobbies and interests as potential tie-ins for future classes! 감사합니다!

Truly enjoyed my first lesson and can’t wait to go for more classes:) She’s very patient and although I don’t have much confidence in speaking the language, I love that she makes you feel comfortable to try. Thank you so much!
