Hi everyone! I’m Teacher Xiaohe, a native Chinese speaker. I also speak English, Korean, and a little bit of Spanish — hope that I could help you learn Chinese in a way that feels fun and familiar.
I’m into literature, food, film photography, traveling, and music — so basically, if it’s artsy or delicious, I’m in. I’m also a language learning nerd myself, so I totally get the struggles (and joys!) of picking up a new language. I believe language isn’t just a tool — it’s the key to unlocking the world.

I majored in Applied Psychology and hold a senior high school teaching certificate, along with a national Mandarin Proficiency Certificate. I have taught both Chinese and English to students of all ages—from young children to adults—and specialize in HSK and YCT courses.
I’m particularly skilled in helping students improve their spoken Chinese and conversational skills. My lessons focus on practical, real-life communication, encouraging learners to speak with confidence and clarity. I believe language learning is a two-stage process: starting with imitation and then moving on to independent creative expression. So don’t worry about “Chinese is soooo difficult” — just practice with me, and you too can speak authentic Chinese!
As someone with extensive experience in public speaking and debating, I can also help you build your eloquence and communication skills.
In our classes, we can:
• Systematically study HSK or YCT courses
• Practice oral Chinese through situational dialogues or casual conversation
• Learn about Chinese culture and everyday life—including topics like music, travel, food, study, and more
