Hello there! I am Tomás, 29 years old. After living abroad for 2 years, I've become very passionate about the English language, especially the pronunciation and phonetics. I've discovered many tricks, mindsets and practice methods that worked really well for me and that I haven't found anywhere else. I would love to share those and to help people master this tricky language! I am a very energetic guy and I always try bring positive energy!

Ich als Lehrkraft

My specialization is in accent reduction, which means improving the voice tone and pronunciation to make the speaking clear and natural. Your grammar doesn't have to be perfect, but if people don't know what words you are saying, you are in a problem! My strength is teaching native Spanish speakers, because I know exactly what it feels like to be there, and how to do the work from that mindset. But I am open to other people too! I am very confident that deliberate practice, like you would do when learning any instrument, is key for becoming fluent and getting a good accent.

Meine Stunden und mein Unterrichtsstil

Usually the way I teach is the first half of the lesson I will go through some general concepts about the spoken language, like all the different sounds that you need to learn, how to make them and the way they are usually written. In the second half we will practice conversation. I will comment on your mistakes and help you with grammar and vocabulary, and I will also give you exercises to practice by yourself. Ideally you should practice at least 15 minutes a day, but that's really up to you. My lessons are very fun and energetic. Give it a try!
