Hi, I’m Sabnam, a native Bengali speaker from Kolkata, India. Bengali is my mother tongue, and I grew up learning and using it in everyday life, academics, and culture. I have a strong academic background in Bengali and formal training in education, and I’m also fluent in English. Teaching is something I truly enjoy, and I love helping learners feel confident and comfortable while learning Bengali. I also enjoy reading and meeting new people. I have experience teaching Bengali online to learners of different ages and backgrounds, and I’m known for being patient, friendly, and understanding. I believe learning a language should feel clear, supportive, and enjoyable, not overwhelming.

I have more than two years of experience teaching languages online to learners from various age groups and proficiency levels. Since every student learns differently, I adjust my teaching methods to match each learner’s pace, goals, and learning style. I believe building a connection with my students is essential. I take time to understand them and encourage open communication, creating a relaxed and supportive atmosphere where learners feel comfortable asking questions and are never worried about making mistakes — because mistakes help us grow. I strongly feel that learning becomes effective when it is enjoyable.

Meine Stunden und mein Unterrichtsstil

My lessons focus on building correct and natural Bengali sentences, not blind memorization, clear pronunciation, solid grammar foundations, vocabulary building and real fluency, so they can communicate confidently in everyday situations. After every lesson, I provide study materials for revision and practicing independently. Since every learner is different, I design personalized lesson plans and materials based on each student’s goals, pace, and learning style. I guide my students step by step, ensuring steady progress without pressure. I also share information about Bengali culture, traditions, food, clothing, festivals, and more. I believe a language is deeply connected to it's culture.
