I speak English, French, Swedish and Italian fluently.
I grew up travelling and it made me learn quickly about different cultures and perspectives. I studied to become a teacher and translator but I worked in stores, museums and as a babysitter as well. I like challenges and new things. I love music, dancing - especially ballet and art.
I studied art history but I haven´t worked with it (not yet).
I love to paint, draw and talk about beautiful things. I love nature and travelling. People say I am patient, resilient but that I get bored pretty easily. I stay patient but I need to have reasoning and motivation behind what I am doing.
I worked as a teacher privately - as a tutor or a mentor - for over 17 years and as a teacher in schools - at different levels - for 7 years. I have seen students achieve great results and I love to seem them happy and satisfied with their achievements.
I always prioritise the student´s personality and individual goals. I like to give structure and a meaning to what we learn. As I said in the previous paragraph, I tend to get bored pretty easily so I know how hard it can be to stay calm and focused on books. But I know that I have to slow down if something becomes unclear or difficult. I adapt to students and I find the right method to give language-notions.Mein Unterrichtsmaterial

Gene has a very pedagogical approach and focuses on consolidating the basics - which is great if like me you have learned partly by yourself - and without always proper guidance on things like pronunciation!
