My name is Ellen, and I graduated cum laude with a Bachelor's degree in Global Studies and a minor in Modern Languages and Linguistics. I've always had a passion for language learning from growing up bilingual. I grew up speaking both Georgian and English, studied Russian in college, studied numerous other languages formally throughout my school years, and am now taking up Spanish.
I grew up in the Washington DC area and I currently live in Maine, but I move around frequently due to my spouse's career. When I'm not studying languages, I enjoy gaming, knitting, and going on day trips in the New England area.Ich als Lehrkraft
Language and communication are passions of mine, and it has always been my desire to help individuals succeed in their language goals. I have over a year and a half of informal tutoring experience in both English and Georgian languages, all of which have been 1-1 lessons either in-person or online. I have also completed my TEFL certification earlier this year to solidify and formalize my teaching skills.

My lessons are student-centered, which means I like to maximize student engagement and participation during lessons. I use a wide variety of lesson plans and activities that I tailor to each student's needs and interests to ensure each person receives a personalized language-learning experience.
With each student I conduct a needs analysis, a level test, assess their language goals, and plan lessons accordingly. I like to provide preparation material leading up to a lesson in addition to consolidation tasks after a lesson in order to ensure students get valuable independent practice outside of lessons.Mein Unterrichtsmaterial
