Hello! My name is Yume and I am a Japanese language teacher. I am from Japan and have been living in the United States since 2022. 🌟My teaching background I have a Master’s degree in Japanese Language Education and 3 years of experience teaching at the university level in the United States. I have also worked as a private tutor, teaching students from children to senior adults. I love teaching and enjoy interacting with students from all over the world. Students often describe me as patient, engaging, and friendly :) 🌟Types of Lessons Please book a trial lesson first so we can discuss how I can support your learning. 1. Free Conversation For students who want to practice speaking Japanese through topics you enjoy. 2. Grammar Lessons For students who want to build a strong foundation in grammar and vocabulary. We will also practice speaking, listening, and reading during the lesson. 🌟About me I enjoy traveling, watching movies and TV series, and baseball. My top 3 anime are Slam Dunk, One Piece, and Ranma 1/2. I am also learning Spanish so that I can communicate more with my family. Since I am learning a foreign language myself, I understand how it feels to study a new language as a student. What do you like to do? Yume was SO NICE! I was really nervous to start taking lessons, but she was so patient and understanding. She made me feel way more confident, even just after 1 trial lesson. I’m excited to take more lessons with her!

Her grammar explanation were clear, detailed, and easy to follow. I learned a lot throughout the class, and she always encouraged me, so I felt comfortable asking questions and speaking without worrying too much about making mistakes. I am already excited to take her next lesson!
