Hello everyone!
My name is Francesca and I'm a native Italian and English speaker (fully bilingual). I'm back on italki after I took a long break to finish my University studies and to work.
Languages have been a big passion of mine ever since I was young and I've always enjoyed helping people connect by interpreting and translating.
I studied Scandinavian languages and cultures at University in London and then worked for a company as translator and interpreter between Italian, English and Norwegian.
My main interests are videogames, music, psychology and long walks in nature!Ich als Lehrkraft
I am completely bilingual, so you can expect an authentic native Italian and English (British) pronunciation.
I have a long experience learning languages - from French, German and Latin at high school, to Old Icelandic, Faroese and Norwegian at University! - so I completely understand how difficult learning a language can be at times! My own experience has taught me to be a very patient, calm and empathetic tutor, and you can be sure that I will take your worries and concerns very seriously while finding the best way to address them. My lessons consist mostly of informal conversations, where you are free to decide any topic you would like to talk about or focus on! I don't like correcting my students every time they might make a mistake, so I will let you speak freely and I will give you detailed feedback afterwards.
We can use a variety of teaching materials, as listed below, and we can decide together whether homework is necessary (I promise I don't give too much!).
