Hello!
Hello! I live in the beautiful city of Brisbane! I have lived here for 15 years, but I am originally from the UK and speak with a neutral English accent.
I work on a regular basis for IDP IELTS and teach IELTS and Academic English preparation at a prestigious university in Brisbane helping students improve their English before starting their university programme.
I have 30 years experience of helping students achieve their English language goals. Listening carefully to you, I will help you to improve your areas of weakness. I won't ignore your mistakes or linguistic problems, we will work on these together!Ich als Lehrkraft
I have been a qualified English language teacher for 30 years.
I have sepcialised knowledge of the IELTS exam. I ensure the you will know how the IELTS Speaking test works, what the examiner is listening for, and how you can modify what you say, and HOW you say it to impress the examiner and improve your score.
Making mistakes? I love them! This is where we will focus! A good teacher will not ignore your mistakes or weaknesses. This is where we need to focus. I will gently guide you to improve. With my experience and your hard work, you can succeed! :)Meine Stunden und mein Unterrichtsstil
My lessons are relaxed and friendly. We will work together at your pace, so you can build confidence and work on the areas where you need more help.
I try to keep my lessons simple. We won't be using many digital apps etc in the classroom. You can use these in your own time. I believe that the majority of students want a natural interaction with a teacher during their lesson. Therefore, I will use some material to support your learning, but the most important resource in our sessions is you and me!
I will provide clarification in the chat box where necessary as a record of vocabulary and grammar structures we use in the lesson.
