Hello, my name is Hoyeon. I majored in computer science and worked as a software engineer at an electronics company. Realizing how fulfilling it could be to understand and teach languages, I studied Korean language education online and started teaching Korean on italki. I never imagined I would make it this far, but I'm glad I'm on the right track and enjoying every moment of it. When it comes to learning languages, I believe we can learn more naturally by reusing and reorganizing sentences or phrases we've heard before. It's all about repetition. I rarely leave reviews. If there's something I need to tell my students, I address it during class. Thank you.

Attendance Policy, and Criteria No-show, No Refund: If a student doesn't show up on time without prior notice, I can wait for 20 minutes. After this, it will be considered a no-show, and the lesson fee will be fully charged. In the case of my no-show, the credit will be returned, and the next lesson will be free of charge. Rescheduling: Rescheduling through the italki system is always OK. You don't need to ask me. Cancellation: If you want to cancel the lesson at least 3 hours before the class time, I'll accept it. However, if the request is sent within 3 hours before the lesson time, half of the lesson fee will be charged. Age Restriction: I do not teach children or students under 18.

Meine Stunden und mein Unterrichtsstil

I usually speak English when teaching beginners. However, when we focus on our target expressions or goals, I try to use as much Korean as possible. I can use six different series of textbooks, but if there are no specific requests, I stick to one or two series that I find most effective. Feel free to message me if there are specific textbooks you want to study. Of course, I can teach without textbooks. In this case, my lesson notes will be the most important study materials. I don't provide discounts for lesson packages, but you can request to terminate a package at any time without any explanation. I'll accept it without asking any questions.
