Chiara was able to quickly gauge my current abilities in the language and design targeted lessons to accommodate my learning needs. As I have an upcoming trip to Italy we focused on commutation and understanding how to read and speak in the situations I will most likely come across during my vacation. We practice with text, with fill in the blanks, with no text present (memory) and she gives me homework to study and prepare. After my trip, we will be focusing more on structure and grammar so that I can continue to work on moving up levels as I hope to take another CILS exam. I feel confident in our sessions and our progress, and will continue to work with and recommend Chiara to other students.

Chiara is the perfect professor if you are serious about your language journey. She is extremely attentive to detail in regards to both grammar and conversation issues that a student might have. Besides that, if you want to prepare for an exam such as the PLIDA or CILS she is more than willing to delineate a plan ( in a reasonable time frame of course ) to achieve your desire goal in the Italian language.

Chiara is an exceptional teacher. I am trying to improve my Italian quickly in preparation for an exam and have committed to a regular course of study with Chiara. I had studied Italian for roughly a year and a half but not very seriously. I had an inconsistent grammatical foundation. Chiara correctly identified my level and gaps in my knowledge and has devised a course of study tailored to my learning goals. I enjoy my lessons with Chiara enormously. She’s diligent and thorough and maintains a quick pace, but makes the learning process feel fun. We usually meet for an hour and the lesson flies by. She is clear and correct my errors in a way that leaves me feeling encouraged and confident that I can continue to improve. I have made tremendous progress in a short period of time thanks to her support. I trust completely that with her help I will be able to take and pass this exam.

Ang galing magturo ni Teacher Chiara. Isa sa mga pinaka-nagustuhan ko sa kanya ay kung gaano kaayos at kaorganisado ang bawat lesson. Marunong din siyang magpaliwanag ng mga mahihirap na konsepto sa paraang simple at madaling maintindihan. Yung mga parte ng Italian na dati ay nakakalito, nagiging mas malinaw dahil sa paraan niya ng pagtuturo. Bukod pa doon, may sense of humor din siya kaya hindi boring ang klase. May mga pagkakataong matatawa ka na lang habang natututo—sobrang laking bagay para mas ma-enjoy ang learning. Magaan ang atmosphere ng klase pero sobrang epektibo. Hindi nakakastress, pero marami ka talagang matututuhan. Kung naghahanap ka ng mahusay, maayos, at masayang Italian teacher, si Teacher Chiara ang masasabi kong isa sa mga pinakamahusay.

I've been working with Chiara for about 5 weeks to prep for the B1 exam. She's been incredibly helpful, both with general grammar work and test specific preparation with the various sections of the test. She always has materials ready to go and strikes a good balance between asking me what I'd like to work on and suggesting areas that I need help with. Her lesson availability is great, and she's always on time and motivated to get the most out of the time we work together. I'd happily recommend her to anyone interested in learning Italian at any level.
