I just had the best lesson with Yukari!! I am always nervous and anxious before starting a lesson with someone new. I had nothing to worry about with Yukari. We were laughing and having a great time all while learning A TON of vocabulary. And she was very helpful in finding different ways for me to say something so it sounded and felt natural for me. I was very excited after the lesson to put my new skills to the test!

Can't stress enough how good a teacher Yukari-sensei is! She's always willing to take the extra time to explain things in-depth based on your skill level and understanding, and she is always prepared with a relevant lesson, but also very flexible and able to change her lesson on the fly based on your questions. If you're looking for a teacher I recommend Yukari 100%!

ゆかり先生 has a friendly and flexible teaching style. She is very interactive and engaging, and she does an excellent job of leading and personalizing each lesson. During our trial lesson, she asked me some simple questions in Japanese to determine my language level. She also asked about my learning goals, my motivation, and the frequency of lessons that I desired. She has many PowerPoint slides of prepared material. As a beginner and visual learner, this style of teaching is really beneficial for me. Specifically, during the lesson time, Yukari will share her screen with the PowerPoint. Using pictures and hiragana, she teaches new vocabulary and grammar. Then, we practice step-by-step, e.g. she asks a question while pointing to a picture so I can respond (or vice versa). Yukari is very thorough and makes sure I understand correctly before moving on. Additionally, we also have open conversation time about daily life and past experiences. 教えてくれてありがとうございました！

Yukari is amazing at customizing lessons based on your needs and remembering what you did last time.
