Ruka Chang

I've worked with Ruka for over a year and she has been very helpful. People often express surprise at my Chinese level, but people who know me have also noted that it continues to improve. That's because I have a secret weapon! Ruka has been consistently reliable and helpful, which is why I would recommend her lesson to anybody, whether you're a total beginner or more advanced.

I've been taking conversation lessons with Ruka for more than a year to keep my Mandarin activated & we still haven't run out of topics to chat about 😊 Ruka often goes the extra mile & prepares material about cultural things or current news according to my interests & she's always very caring & encouraging, but also professional & reliable 💖

Ruka is very friendly and is a great listener. Whenever I speak, she stops and listens. Ruka's understanding of Taiwanese culture is very good. She can explain things so you can understand very easily. Ruka is very flexible. For example, I asked her to record the audio for the new words/phrases and she happily recorded them. This is very helpful for studying the Taiwanese pronunciation. Ruka really helps you immerse into the Mandarin Chinese language. She knows what words/phrases you are trying to say just from Chinese alone. Ruka rarely uses English which helps with the immersion. It's like actually being in Taiwan. Ruka was very punctual. She arrived on time and ended on time after one hour. Ruka is very kind and understanding. She is very encouraging. She makes making mistakes a positive thing. Whenever I make a mistake, she kindly corrects me which is good. I would highly recommend Ruka as your Chinese tutor. She is very friendly and supportive. Her knowledge is excellent. 5*

If you're looking for a tutor to practice conversation with, I highly recommend Ruka. She's very lively and fun to talk to; our lessons always pass by quickly due to how enjoyable our conversations are. Ruka is great at explaining terms I'm unfamiliar with and will always quickly correct my mispronunciations.
