Olá! Meu nome é Ana Carolina, sou natural do Brasil e atualmente moro em Ottawa, no Canadá. Sou apaixonada por literatura e fã de livros de suspense. Também gosto muito de ler e aprender mais sobre história. Nas horas vagas, gosto de assistir a filmes e seriados.Ich als Lehrkraft
Recentemente, eu realizei um trabalho voluntário como professora de português, o que me motivou a retomar a docência em horários alternados. Com isso, adquiri experiência no ensino de português para estrangeiros. Minha especialidade é o ensino de português para iniciantes no idioma. Meu método de ensino utiliza elementos do cotidiano da vida do aluno para facilitar a sua aprendizagem. Sempre que possível, são utilizadas imagens para ilustrar a lição, bem como materiais audiovisuais. Além do português padrão, também são apresentadas gírias e expressões do dia-a-dia, a fim de tornar o aluno proficiente no português coloquial. Cada aula é planejada de acordo com os assuntos de interesse do aluno. Geralmente, as primeiras aulas abordam lições básicas de conversação, leitura e escrita, utilizando algumas traduções para o inglês. Nas aulas seguintes, a complexidade das lições aumenta gradativamente de acordo com o desenvolvimento do aluno. Sempre que possível, são utilizadas imagens para ilustrar a lição, bem como materiais audiovisuais como músicas, vídeos, comic strips, textos jornalísticos, entre outros. A intenção é contextualizar as aulas, pensando em situações do dia a dia de acordo com o perfil do aluno. We (me and my partner) have been taking classes with Ana Carolina for almost a year and love every lesson with her!! We recommend it to everyone who wants to make progress in Portuguese, especially in pronunciation. Ana is very professional—has a comprehensive knowledge about the language and at the same time has a gift to answer every question in an entertaining way. Recommend for 100%.

I’ve been studying with Ana Carolina for a while and it’s been a great experience! She’s very smart, patient, and helpful. I’ve done both conversation and Brazilian literature classes with her and my Portuguese has improved a lot. I have been particularly impressed with her knowledge of literature and her ability to not only help me with my Portuguese but also to make me think more deeply and critically about the pieces we have read together.

Wow! What a fantastic Portuguese teacher! I just had my second lesson with Ana Carolina, and I have already booked my third! She is focused on our class the entire time, which I really appreciate. Her lessons are organized, structured, and fun! The hour goes by so quickly. I love that she speaks to me only in Portuguese. It is the best way to learn and immerse oneself right into the language. Ana Carolina is super smart, nice, calm, and experienced. I am a teacher myself, so I am very picky with who I choose to teach me. Ana Carolina checks off all of the boxes.
