Objectively summarizing oneself can be daunting, so I often let my students form their own impressions. Reflecting on my own education, I still recall the stern, results-driven teachers—memorable more for their pressure than their presence. In contrast, the educators who left a true mark were those who taught with humor, patience, and empathy.
