Katia is an excellent teacher! I was looking for a language teacher that would diligently correct my mistakes and help direct me to improve my language skills. I didn't have any real expectations. But, I truly appreciated her attention to detail and her suggestions on how to improve my specific problem areas. She also challenged me to think and speak about topics that I haven't addressed in the past with other teachers. It was a very fun and interesting class and Katia's ability as a language teacher is exceptional. She has an outstanding grasp on vocabulary, pronunciation, and grammar and she finds creative ways to help reinforce those topics throughout her class. I look forward to many more classes with Katia!

Katia is the best teacher! She is so patient, so supportive, and understanding. She knows exactly what level she needs to speak at - hard enough in order to challenge you to grow and pick up new words, but easy enough so that you can still follow the conversation and not get lost. I highly recommend her! =)

I will write this review for the benefit of all the English speakers looking to learn Spanish... I know ~600 Spanish words and can (mostly, kind of) conjugate verbs in the present tense. Katia has a remarkable gift of being able to speak and tell great stories in a way that a beginner can understand. So, if you are a beginning Spanish speaker and want to have a huge boost to your confidence, talk to Katia, you will feel like a genius!
