I graduated from a Polish university majoring in Ethnolinguistics with a focus on English and Spanish. During my career I have spent 3 years in Spain as a part of an exchange program, studying mainly Anthropology. I have traveled extensively around South America and Asia and I worked and traveled for about a year in New Zealand. I'm interested in cultures, social connections, and healthy lifestyles, which includes my yoga practice, cycle touring, hiking, nutrition, and meditation. I've taught English during my travels as a volunteer in local schools and recently after two years of teaching on Italki I've upgraded to a professional language teacher. My approach is mainly intuitive. To improve my teaching skills I took a 120 hrs online TEFL course to be able to explain specific grammar issues to my students. I can teach beginners and intermediate students who'd like to build and reinforce their learning through speaking practice. I love languages and myself I'm learning Japanese and French at the moment and that's why I can easily understand your difficulties with memorizing new words and frustrations of not being able to pronounce things correctly. I would like to focus mainly on conversation practice to improve your self-confidence and fluidity in English, Spanish, and Polish. The choice of topics is completely up to you (it’s best if it's somehow related to your passions and interests) and it's important that you have a clear sense of why you want to learn a new language—what the bigger picture is and how you would like to achieve it.

Paulina was very helpful in sketching out a plan for me to improve my Polish to grow my business within the Canadian Polish community. She also recommended some good resources for further learning. Whenever I did not know a word in Polish, she assisted me and helped me to expand my vocabulary. I will definitely be booking more lessons with Paulina.
