Hi! I’m Sibel, a certified language teacher based in Istanbul—though I spend much of the year teaching online while traveling, mostly in Latin America. I've visited nearly 50 countries, and language has been my favorite passport along the way.
I hold a degree in English Language and Literature and a CELTA. I teach English, Spanish, and Turkish with a passion for cultural connection. Learning languages has shaped who I am—helping me connect with people, music, books, and ideas from around the world.

Sibel is an amazing teacher, I can't wait to book more lessons and become a regular student to get fluent in Turkish! I'm a false beginner in Turkish (I used to be very good at it...10 years ago!) and thought I had forgotten almost all of it, and that I would have to start from scratch all over again. But Sibel trusted my skills and challenged me with fun topics, questions, grammar and "woke up" a lot of vocabulary I thought I had forgotten. I also appreciated that I was invited to think how to say things in Turkish, instead of defaulting to English as a comfort zone, while the entire time the environment felt really safe, friendly and warm! She has achieved the perfect pedagogical balance between providing learning content and encouragement. Her energy and humour is infectious and makes learning Turkish a lot of fun!

Sibel is one of the best language teachers I have had, after learning more than 9 languages over a decade. She encourages you to use what you've learned and actually speak the language! Her lessons are fun and interactive, and if you learn quickly, she can also make them more productive and challenging. She is always very energetic and positive in our classes. I cannot recommend a teacher more than Sibel.

Amazing teacher ! I was struggling with some grammar point and Sibel saw it, worked on it with me, explained in a very clear way and let me do some exercices about it which was really helpful !! Teşekkür ederim hocam 🙏
