Olá, meu nome é Rossana. Sou historiadora de formação, e tutora de Português Brasileiro como língua estrangeira. Também ajudo alunos a se comunicarem em inglês e faço trabalhos de edição e proofreading em artigos acadêmicos. Adoro livros, café, viajar e conhecer outras culturas.

Hi there! My name is Rossana, I´m a historian and I teach Brazilian Portuguese to foreigners. I also help students to communicate in English and do some proofreading for academic articles. Gosto de dar aulas pela possibilidade de conhecer novas pessoas, partilhar interesses em comum e talvez ajudar alguém a ver o mundo de outra maneira. Sou paciente, boa ouvinte e sempre procuro ajustar a aula aos interesses dos estudantes.

For 14 years, I gave History and Philosophy lessons at the University, and since 2020 have been a language tutor. Being a teacher allows meeting people with share interests, and even to help someone see the world differently. Gosto de conversar e durante as aulas procuro deixar as pessoas à vontade para irem no seu próprio ritmo de forma com que se sintam à vontade. Gosto de pensar em questões de gramática, mas também adoro ler e discutir literatura, história, comida e diferentes aspectos da cultura.

I like to meet new people and learn about different cultures. In my classes, I try to make sure students are at ease, respecting their pace of learning and communicating.
