Niko Chitashvili

I met Niko when I was an exchange student in South Korea. I was doing my English-based Management program. When I arrived there, I couldn't speak a single word in English, and yet after a month of classes with Niko, I began to comprehend most of the content in class and quickly gained the ability to socialize with fellow students and even making friends. Now, after nearly 2 years of having my pretty intensive, regular English training, I've improved from A1 beginner to B2 upper-intermediate and passed the IELTS at the overall band score 7 which allowed my to be eligible and accepted for a Master's program taught in English. I can enjoy talking with teachers and students with so much ease and fun. That could be barely possible without Niko's guidance. He also always adapts to my needs: practicing conversational English, business English, preparing for IELTS, etc. With all that being said, this feedback is my token of great appreciation to Niko. Niko has been a big part of my Russian learning. I am thankful for his assiduousness in helping me build a strong foundation in grammar, vocabulary and speaking, on the basis of which I can proceed with confidence toward fluency.

Niko, is exactly what I was looking for. From the very start of trial lesson, he gave a clear structure, assessed my level honestly, and mapped out a realistic path forward. His feedback is direct but never discouraging. More like a rational professional assessment than typical teacher corrections. You can tell he has a finance background, which is perfect if you're learning English for business. Highly recommend if you want results, not just chit-chat :)

Niko is a pleasure to work with and learn from. I have been working with Niko for just about two years and I am happy to say that my Georgian has gone from zero to me being able to comfortably navigate daily life when my work takes me to Georgia. I can highly recommend Niko as a teacher.

Niko has a gift for helping my brain “dig out” the knowledge that had been buried since I left Georgia many years ago. This gives me a sense of relief knowing I am not starting from zero and helps me reconnect with the logical patterns I once knew.

He did a very good job of ensuring that there was a good mix of instruction but also opportunity for me to practice speaking and then if there were any grammatical or syntax errors made, that they could be corrected. I also enjoyed that his Russian was understandable and that he spoke at a realistic and comprehensive pace. I would recommend him as a teacher 100%
