Since I spent over a decade studying foreign languages in and out of academic settings, I am very familiar with different teaching methods and approaches. I can relate to my students' learning struggles and offer advice based on my own experience.

I am a firm believer in the success of conversation-based teaching. However, I encourage my students to be well-rounded users of their target language by providing them with opportunities to also use their reading, writing skills along with their listening and speaking. Since knowing another language is a gateway into a new culture, I use every opportunity to incorporate both current events and history to change a class into something beyond just learning English.5.0
