I have been delivering one on one sessions online for around 11 years and I have learnt a lot of things from my students in that time. In particular, I am interested in offering students basic cultural knowledge and understanding, so that they may understand the references and tone of a conversation between native speakers. I also believe that in an increasingly integrated world, in which questions of politics, music, sport and culture happen on a global level, students should feel able to participate in those conversations. Don't you want to talk about something that ACTUALLY ainterests you - something you would discuss with friends and family in your first language? I believe that standard language textbooks are boring and the topics are uninteresting! Alan is an excellent teacher, his lessons had been very fun, I’ve enjoyed the playlists that he used to teach me about British culture. He has been so nice and he has helped me to clear all my doubts and missconceptions.
Is a 10 out of 10, I will continue with Alan lessons for a long time.

I had always gone to the academy to learn English, but after my experience with Alan in private lessons, I discovered that in three months I have progressed more than in all the years of school and the academy. I speak with confidence and it is not difficult for me to study. Thank you so much Alan for motivating me and doing that so funny classes while I learn. I still have a lot to improve but I still have the same desire with which I started. I am 46, and I recommend that whoever has doubts, try it. It is worth the investment.

I approached Alan because of a passion we share, English music! I was caught by his 5 lessons course, what the heck can we say about it? That was the start to learn, beyond English grammar, a person, a teacher, precise and sensitive with whom I can speak freely and confidently about everything. Alan is competent in grammar, attentive to pronunciation, empathic. And when I’m in trouble, I can try with my poor Spanish or use Italian words so he can guess what I’m trying to say. My only regret is not to have more time to spend together.
