Hi! I’m Minji Kim, born and raised in Seoul, South Korea. (My family has lived in Seoul for three generations, so I naturally speak standard Korean.)
🌟 My Experience
Witnessing a family struggle with language barriers in my youth inspired me to become a Korean teacher. Since then, I’ve dedicated myself to helping learners through educational content and broadcasting. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Korean Language and am pursuing a master’s in Korean Language Education. With the support of my students, I’ve grown as a qualified teacher, earning recognition in articles and papers. I’ve created over 400 Korean learning videos and gained 400,000 followers. One of the most memorable comments I received was from a student who said, "I couldn’t understand anything from the textbook, but after watching Minji’s video, it finally clicked."

I’ve provided online group classes to learners worldwide based on a structured curriculum. With my own materials, students practiced speaking, learned grammar and vocabulary, and received personalized 1:1 feedback.

She is a highly recognized professional teacher on italki (not a community tutor), and it really shows in the way she explains grammar, adapts to my level, and helps me express myself more naturally. Her lessons are well-structured, encouraging, and always motivating.

Lessons with teacher Minji are very enjoyable. She comes prepared, makes sure the class is engaging, and asks thought-provoking questions. Additionally, she provides excellent feedback after the lesson. I highly recommend her. It's also worth checking out her YouTube channel—though I think pretty much anyone looking for Korean learning materials has come across it at least once :)

Minji 쌤 is such a fun teacher! She asked great preliminary questions before our first class and prepared the studying material based on my level and my interests. The lesson was very interactive with plenty of speaking practice, and she shared lots of Korean trending topics that made the lesson very interesting and fun. I really enjoyed learning with her. ^^

I enjoyed my lesson with Minji! She is extremely thorough with the amount of examples and content used in each lesson. (Minji’s PowerPoints are so adorable and so informative). Also, Minji is super encouraging and she provides such a supportive environment. I am looking forward to our next lesson together and to continue developing my Korean language skills.
