Jakub Tokarz

I have studied for almost 3 months now and I can assure you all that Jakub is one of the kindest loveliest teachers you're likely to stumble across here on Italki. In addition to always being immaculately prepared, punctual and enthused for each and every lesson, he also genuinely cares about you and your progress and his enthusiasm always leaves me feeling inspired and enlightened after each lesson. He has exercises galore to offer, will teach you 100% in Polish from lesson ONE! I really love the coursebook he works from and the set up he uses to share material with you. Each lesson is very structured and not a minute of your time is wasted. He also is very flexible and if you come to him with a specific request he's more than willing and game to help. I owe a huge part of my progress in this bonkers language thanks to his guidance . Highly recommended. (and really, I hesitate to recommend just because I'm selfish and I know his limited available slots will fill up!) :)

We talked Polish all the time. Jakub makes sure I understood the new words, gives short explanations of grammar, sends me useful links etc.

Jakub is a great teacher! I appreciate how he offers detailed feedback after each lesson. He also perfectly balances corrections and conversation, so I never feel cut off but still learn from my mistakes. Highly recommend!

Jakub, dziękuję for another great lesson! I really enjoyed learning about Polish Christmas traditions in Polish today. I also like that Polish culture and word origins are included in the language lessons. Lessons are set-up so that information you learned in the very basic beginner lessons are repeated at a more advanced level, which (for me) helps to reinforce learning. I'm currently on the second set of "beginner" lessons.
