I’m still learning, so I often feel like I’m not good at it.
Therefore, I totally understand the feelings of Japanese learners well.
Ich als Lehrkraft
I have been teaching Japanese since 2018 on italki. Since I began teaching, I’ve taught students, from beginners to advanced learners, from all over the world.
Also, I earned an official certification as a Japanese teacher after completing a 420-hour course on teaching Japanese as a second language.
I also teach at a Japanese conversation school in Osaka for students from all over the world.
I encourage you to speak freely and I will ask you many questions so that you can improve your Japanese listening and speaking skills, and I am 100% supportive and that I will do my best to help you study!!
Meine Stunden und mein Unterrichtsstil
I believe that learning should be fun and enjoyable. I listen closely to what students want to learn and tailor the lessons to be efficient and effective. I assure students that making mistakes is part of the learning process and provide patient, positive feedback.
I also believe that a comfortable learning environment is important so I am patient and understanding. I’m totally comfortable with mistakes, pauses or shyness in a student's conversation.
Textbooks that I have..
Beginner: みんなの日本語初級Ⅰ・Ⅱ、中級へ行こう
Intermediate:ニューアプローチ(基礎編、完成編)、Try!N3
I DO NOT have Genki.
We’ve gone over a lot of vocabulary. Aiko sensai always makes it very fun and engaging, I appreciate her encouragement to speak because it’s the best way to learn. I also appreciate that she celebrates with me when I get an answer correct. I enjoy her lessons very much and appreciate that she uses the practice questions to encourage me to answer them like I would if I were to be asked in Japan.

We learned a lot of new words and I appreciate Aiko’s patience as I practiced new phrases and reviewed old vocabulary as well.

This was my second lesson back after a longer break between lessons and I appreciate Aiko’s homework plan that helps me review prior knowledge. I definitely feel like I slipped back some but thanks to Aiko’s patience, encouragement and willingness to review material to make sure we can build forward from past lessons I feel like I’m once again moving in the right direction. I appreciate the example questions then the way she asks you the questions so you are able to practice responding for yourself, it’s a great way to practice speaking and I’m always encouraged to practice speaking even when it’s challenging.

I appreciate Aiko’s patience as we work with the new vocabulary. There’s a lot to remember and I appreciate that Aiko always gives plenty of opportunities to practice. I enjoy that our lessons incorporate real-life examples and I’m encouraged not just to read the answers to the examples but to answer the examples with my own answers. And I appreciate Aiko letting me practice by asking the same questions

I appreciate the continued reviews and patience as we go through lessons. I like how we go through the example questions together and we also practice answering them for ourselves and I appreciate the practice in asking the questions too.
