I cannot thank my teacher Rob enough for everything he has done for me. Without his guidance and support, I wouldn’t be able to speak Portuguese as confidently as I do today. I feel truly blessed not only for his exceptional teaching skills but also for his kindness outside the classroom. Thanks to Rob, I had the chance to get tickets to the Taylor Swift concert in Rio – a once-in-a-lifetime experience that I will always cherish. In class, Rob creates a safe and supportive environment where we can learn how to speak properly. He always provides constructive feedback, highlighting both the good and the areas where we can improve, especially with pronunciation. This balance makes his teaching incredibly effective and enjoyable. Thank you for wrapping up 2024’s class with me and let’s continue studying together in 2025! Congrats again for what you have archieved lately ;) well deserved !!

If you want to learn Brazilian Portuguese - Robledo is your guy! Robledo is the best Portuguese teacher anyone could have. I've taken over 100 classes with him since last summer - 3 days a week - and am happy with my progression towards fluency. Classes are always well prepared, be it reading and written assignments, games, watching videos or listening to audio..even singing and discussing famous Brazilian songs that have vocabulary and verb tenses we are learning. ...and if current events or personal life pop into the conversation, he always has an article, YouTube video, or song to share...just remember you get what you put into it! Tamo junto meu amigo -- muito obrigado por nossas aulas juntas; eu continuarei aprendendo portugues com voce! Valeu!

As a language teacher myself, I cannot recommend Rob highly enough. His lessons are exceptionally well organized, intellectually engaging, and dynamic. He has a remarkable ability to balance structured conversation with meaningful insights into Brazilian culture, and his feedback is both detailed and highly attuned to the learner’s level and goals. On a personal level, Rob is thoughtful, open, and genuinely easy to talk to. I’m very grateful to have found him as I continue refining my Portuguese.

Rob is the first Portuguese teacher who has made me feel genuinely engaged and confident that I am learning the language the right way. I had tried lessons before with a different teacher, but I didn’t stick with it because I wasn’t engaged and it didn’t feel like there was a clear path forward. With Rob, I feel engaged every lesson and feel that I am making real progress. What initially drew me to Rob was his background as a Fulbright scholar and his master’s in linguistics, but what has made the biggest difference is who he is as a person and teacher. He is thoughtful, encouraging, organized, and deeply knowledgeable. His lessons are structured, engaging, and creative, and he has made me genuinely excited to learn Portuguese. As an adult with a busy schedule, having a teacher who makes you excited to come back every week is everything. I feel incredibly grateful to have found Rob, and I plan to keep studying with him until, hopefully, one day I am fluent. 19 lessons down!
