Hi, it's nice to meet you! I'm sure you're wondering what type of person I am and whether or not my personality fits your learning needs. Well, here's a little about me: I like to play sports, cook, travel, play guitar, and read. I like to talk about current events, history, popular culture--really about anything. I can speak English and Chinese. I am currently living in France where I am studying for my Masters Degree in Supply Chain Management. I have a Masters of Science in Supply Chain Management and I have a TOFEL Certification from Oxford Seminars. I taught English in a university and business setting in China for eight years. I wanted to become a teacher because I like sharing ideas with people and knowing that through the power of communication, I can make a difference. Sometimes, this difference is profound and sometimes this difference can be subtle. Either way, a difference made is change and change is extremely powerful. I cover topics ranging from introductions to idiomatic expressions to current events in the news. My expectations differ from student to student because each student has a different goal. Generally speaking, I expect students to be courteous and enthusiastic. Of course I will be professional, courteous, and friendly. My teaching style encompasses several different styles such as: Think-pair-share techniques for increasing fluency by reading short articles or listening to short videos, and demonstrating and facilitating teaching styles.
