I love to travel and learn about different places and cultures. Some of my favorite topics to discuss are music, art, literature, and the outdoors. But mostly I'm excited to hear about whatever interests you. In my free time I play jazz piano, rock climb, and spend time with my super energetic 3-year-old son.

Ich als Lehrkraft

I've been teaching English professionally for ten years to students from over 50 countries. I am fluent in Spanish, and I began my teaching career in Bogota, Colombia. I love analyzing language and working with students to understand it in a communicative way. My biggest hope is that my classes will give students the tools they need to use English confidently for their travel, study, or professional goals. For lessons I use as much authentic material as possible (real articles, videos, etc), plus personalized worksheets if needed to tackle the occasional grammar or vocab topic.

Meine Stunden und mein Unterrichtsstil

Each class is entirely personalized based on your goals, needs, and interests. I love grammar, but I try to give direct grammar explanations only when relevant to the student and their goals. The important thing is being able to actually use what you learn. My classes are all about exposing you to new language, then practicing that language in a realistic and communicative way, and finally giving you some feedback that you can use to take your English to the next level.
